When you arrive, we will do a one-on-one assessment to find out about your current level and learning goals, and place you in a class that suits you. We have the flexibility to do so because we believe in small scale teaching. Our classes averagely have 4-5 students, and in fact most of our classrooms wouldn't even fit more than 8 persons.

But we also go well beyond teaching. Because of our international background, we understand that when you join learn Mandarin at a Chinese School in China, you also have other worries, such as arranging accommodation and finding your way in a new city. We will be with you from the moment you arrive at the Airport. Accommodation is included, and you can always reach someone at the school in the case of emergency.

Everything started when I decided to go to China to do an internship and get to know at first-hand how the country that will change the World in the next years is. I wrote some emails, and what was my surprise when from all of them, I just received one answer, the answer from the Hutong School. And what an answer!!! They offered me the posibility to go to China, to do a paid internship work in my field , to follow chinese classes and to have my room in an appartament. The contact with them was very kind, corteous and attentive, they were really concerned in the little things and they knew perfectly all the formalities and papework needed to board in the adventure. Finally I did everything what they told me and I was ready to go to Pekin. Once I was there, they came to the airport to pick me up, Lao Guo, very lovely, we took a taxi and he drove me to my appartment in a traditional Chinese neighborhood, but with all the facilities, Cooled air, TV, kitchen with everything, etc, all that was incredible, I felt very good attended. And all was like that, the chinese classes, the company I worked for, the travels that Hutong School organizes arround the hole country (I was in Xian, Inner Mongolia, camping at the Great Wall, the beach where the great wall ends at the sea...), the people you know there from all arround the world that are studing chinese as well, it was a complete good decision and an unforgettable experience. It is reall worthy, they do really help you and they make you feel part of a big family.

in order to get my master degree, I needed to find a 6th month internship. they have lots of contacts and gave me my internship. Accommodation is also something hard to deal with, but hutong school take all care of this. Most important thing, I chose hutong school because staff is very reactive and answer my email often one hour after. My teacher was very good too, I my chinese level really increased in 6 month.In france before going I took a one year chinese class but with huttong school I learn the same thing in 2 weeks only!!. just only one negative thing, is the price (not very expensive but asked to pay one time at that moment, difficult for a student like me, so I took a loan. But Staff is really kind and friendly, service very good and I met a lots of friends. So highly recommended
