Who we are

Las Lilas School, founded in July 2005, is the first school in Singapore to focus exclusively on the teaching of Spanish and the dissemination of the culture of those countries that share it as a mother tongue.

In the past 7 years we have delivered tens of thousands of tuition hours to young children (as young as 2/3 years of age), adolescents and adults. We have worked with companies in all industries (banking & finance, trade, communications, travel, etc.).

Las Lilas School has also established a fruitful, sustained relationship with a number of academic institutions (universities, local and international schools) as well as with Singapore government bodies (notably, with the Ministry of Education Language Centre). We therefore hold a track record with a large number of patrons who can speak of the quality of our services.

Tuition

Our programmes follow the CEFR. Standard A1 - B2 courses are organised into 4 modules of 20 hours each (at a rate of 2 hours per week), giving students the (minimum) 80 hours tuition expected from a learner to sit either official examination. All our teachers are fully qualified to teach any of the 6  CEFR levels; they are fully familiar with its contents and the requirements issued by the Instituto Cervantes.

DELE exams

We are the only private centre in South East Asia accredited by the Instituto Cervantes. This means that we organise and monitor the DELE examinations twice a year, just like any other official / accredited DELE centre in the world. The dates for 2013 are Saturday 25^th May and Saturday 23^rd November.

Prices

These are the fees that apply to the different tuition models for Adult learners. (All prices are inclusive of GST. Course materials are not included in the price):

- Group course: SGD 380.00
- Semi-private course (3-4 students): SGD 589.00
- Semi-private course (2 students): SGD 883.00
- Private course (one-to-one): SGD 1,712

(An offsite fee of SGD 428 per module is applicable in the event of tuition taking place at the client’s premises.)

I love the freedom we have in class, the debates, discussion and interactions. What's very important for us advanced learners is that practice should always come first. We practice speaking almost 99% of the class.

A great place to learn with great teachers! Classes are always fun and are taught at a pace manageable even for those learning while working, like I am (but we still have to practice!). The courses are also very well structured which is useful for those intending to eventually get certification in Spanish. For coffee lovers there is a Nespresso machine available should you need that boost before class :)

I have completed my Beginner 1 & 2 classes and currently taking Elementary 1 class with Las Lilas.. I have always wanted to learn Spanish but was afraid that I am not able to enjoy while learning it. Las Lilas proves me wrong. The courses and lessons prepared and presented by the Teachers are really interesting. Each class will consist not more than 12 students which I find it appropriate as the Teacher can concentrate better with the progress of the students. The lessons are planned in such simple yet interesting ways, awesome and fun teaching approach which allow the students to get involve whole-heartedly. The lessons allow us to be able to understand Spanish in an easy and full of fun way of learning. The teaching materials allow students to read, write and recite in Spanish. Apart from the textbook and exercise books, 2 CDs and handouts were provided as well. The teachers make the lessons even more interesting by introducing Spanish songs, Video clips of Spain and even share some Spanish food with us. The Teachers are very friendly, helpful and patient towards all the students. The Director of Las Lilas is also a very affectionate lady who listens to the students´ suggestions and arranged schedules of the lessons accordingly. As some of the students are working adults, the school allows students to have make-up classes should they miss any specific lessons due to their work. With the easy-to-understand teaching materials and the patient and helpful Teachers Las Lilas has, I am definitely going to learn my Spanish all the way from Beginner class to Proficiency class. Kudos to Las Lilas.

The classes are very interactive, allowing me to grasp the language more efficiently. My teacher is very passionate about the language and is very enthusiastic. As a result, I view my spanish classes as more play than work, yet have learnt a lot within a few sessions.
